Yumi is the japanese name for bow.


The Yumi itself is very tall, standing at around two metres in height. Traditionally, they are made from bamboo, leather and wood though in modern times a synthetic form of the Yumi is used.


The Yumi was able to be used whilst kneeling, standing and riding on horseback, Samurai had to proficient at all three. The name for the arrow is Ya .
