Piper was a sailor and part of the crew of the Alexandria that had set sail for Nagasaki and gotten shipwrecked.
Way of the Warrior
Piper is part of the crew shipwrecked by the docks of Toba. During the rebuilding process, the Alexandria was attacked by the wakou, Japanese pirates. Piper was part of the watch that night and had been silently slain by Dragon Eye and his compatriots shortly after bumping into Jack Fletcher on the deck.

- Piper, incidentally, likes scaring the crew with stories of ninja and samurai and how evil they apparently are to foreigners.
